Education for the iGeneration
The MusicsEnergy: Learning and Literacy Curriculum (ME: LLC) leverages the broad appeal of popular music and media to facilitate teaching, learning, enrichment, and therapy. Music is used to facilitate self and social awareness, and self-reflection at the individual and group levels. This evidence-based approach to engaging young people is initially introduced via professional development, followed by customizing a solution for each engagement. Our offerings include: technical assistance in the form of training, co-facilitation, coaching, teaching, and supervision for clinicians, educators, and practitioners. Program goals include measurably improving seven specific skills: a) communication; b) critical thinking; c) decision-making; d) problem solving; e) self-regulation; and f) information seeking skills.
ME: LLC is a peer-reviewed, evidence-based approach to health education and media literacy that measures cognitive and behavioral outcomes over time.
